Tricia Newmyer grew up in the Atlanta area, where she attended DeKalb Christian Academy for all elementary and high school.  She then played basketball at Bryan College where she received her BS in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation K-12.  She returned to Atlanta where she eventually taught at Snapfinger Elementary for five year and met her husband Tim Newmyer, also a teacher/coach.  They married in 1999 and live in the house that Tricia grew up in, where they raised their two boys Daniel and Sam.  They both attained their MS in HPER from Emporia State University in Kansas. She started teaching at Lakeside in 2007 and coaching the swim and dive team there. She also coached the Varsity softball team for 7 years, and she and her husband Tim are in their 9th year of coaching the Varsity girls soccer team.  Both Daniel and Sam graduated from Lakeside and now attend the University of Georgia.
